Women’s Volleyball Closes Regular Season with Dominant Sweep at USF

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (23-7, 14-4 CL) wrapped up its regular season with a convincing road sweep at the University of Saint Francis (4-26, 0-18 CL) on Wednesday, November 5.

MVNU made easy work of Saint Francis, winning the match in three sets. MVNU took set one 25-12 before taking the next two by scores of 25-16 and 25-20. As a team MVNU hit .366 compared to just .118 for the hosts.

Libby Evanshine had a match-high 12 kills while hitting .346. Evelyn Brown had 11 kills and a match-high .733 hitting percentage. Faith Maloney added nine kills, hitting .467 in the match. Eliana Morgan had a match-high five blocks and Jaelyn Tang led everyone with 18 digs. Reagan Nuss had 31 assists and nine digs on the night.

 

What's Next

MVNU will host the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed on Saturday, November 8 in Ariel Arena where it will host No. 7 Bethel University at 6:00 p.m.
