No. 12 MVNU Reverse Sweeps Grace College in Ariel

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The No. 12 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (21-7, 12-4 CL) defeated Grace College (15-13, 8-8 CL) in a five set thriller in Ariel Arena on Wednesday, October 29.

MVNU found itself down early, dropping the first two sets of the match to an inspired Lancers team by scores of 24-26 and 22-25. MVNU rallied, winning the next two sets 25-19 and 25-10 to even up the match. In the fifth and final set, MVNU completed the reverse sweep with a 15-10 win to complete the impressive comeback effort.

Faith Maloney, Evelyn Brown, and Libby Evanshine each had 11 kills for MVNU. Maloney and Evanshine also had five blocks each. Maloney had five service aces as well. Eliana Morgan was a force for MVNU, finishing with 12 blocks and nine kills. Reagan Nuss had a stellar outing as she finished with 42 assists, 14 digs, four blocks, and two kills. Jaelyn Tang added 10 digs, three assists, and three service aces to the stat sheet.
