No. 12 Women’s Volleyball Sweeps (RV) Huntington
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The No. 12 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (18-6, 9-3 CL) swept (RV) Huntington University (20-5, 8-4) in a pivotal Crossroads League match in the standings on Wednesday, October 15.
Entering the match, MVNU and Huntington were each tied for second in the Crossroads League standings. The Lady Cougars rose to the occasion and took the match by scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-18 for sole possession of second overall in the conference.
Libby Evanshine hammered home a match-high 11 kills to go with four digs and two blocks. Faith Maloney had eight kills and is now just seven shy of 1,000 for her career. Maloney added nine digs and four blocks. Reagan Nuss had 28 assists, nine digs, a block and a service ace. Jaelyn Tang added 19 digs.
