Lady Cougars Begin Invitational with Two Sweeps

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No.22 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team (11-2) played in day one of the CU/AQ Invitational, hosted by Cornerstone University and Aquinas College on Friday, September 8.

MVNU began the day with a sweep of Cornerstone (4-4), winning by scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-23. The Lady Cougars then made easy work of St. Francis (2-5), taking the match by scores of 25-14, 25-15, and 25-11.

What's Next:

MVNU will wrap up the invitational on Saturday, September 9 in Grand Rapids. MVNU's first match will be held at Cornerstone against Indiana South Bend at 11:00am. MVNU then plays at Aquinas College at 3:00pm.
