Miller Reaches 400 Career Saves on Senior Day

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team (7-7-2, 2-6-0 CL) hosted No. 17 Grace College (13-2-2, 6-2-0 CL) for Senior Day on Saturday, October 25. 

The MVNU women's soccer program honored its 2025-26 senior class of Hannah Miller, Alexis Hoffman, Meghan Moser, and Avery Erslan. 

In the first half, Grace scored two goals with one at the 7th minute by Cassidy Felger, assisted by Rosalie Gefrorer, and the second goal at the 19th minute by Ellie Grieser, assisted by Gefrorer. Grace scored another two goals in the second half. Abby Hodkin scored at the 61st minute, assisted by Grieser, and Rylee Burns scored at the 69th minute, assisted by Hodkin. Grace would go on to win with the final score of 4-0. 

Grace outshot MVNU 33-3, having 18 shots on goal to MVNU's two shots on goal. Chelsea Simpson and Emmie Hoffman each put a shot on goal for MVNU. Miller had a strong performance in the net for MVNU, making 14 saves. Miller achieved both her 100th season save and 400th career save.

MVNU will return for its final home match on Wednesday, October 29 when it hosts Huntington at 7:00 p.m.
