Men’s Lacrosse Improves to 2-0 with Win at Hiram
HIRAM, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (2-0) remained undefeated after defeating Hiram College on the road by a final score of 12-4 on Tuesday, February 10.
MVNU came out strong and found itself up 6-2 at the break after the first 30 minutes of play. The Cougars kept their foot on the gas pedal, outscoring Hiram by a 6-2 margin once again in the second half.
Ethan Haney led MVNU with five goals and one assist. Dylan Haynes had three goals and four assists. Connor Kistner and Angelo Elia each had a goal and two assists. Chase Lawler should off his two-way versatility, finishing with eight ground balls on defense and scoring two goals with two assists on offense. Zechariah Gee continued his dominance facing off, going 20 for 22 on face-off attempts. Vaughan Hawkins had 16 saves in goal.

MVNU next competes in Upland, Indiana at Taylor University on Saturday, February 14. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
