Libby Evanshine Earns Crossroads League Attacker of the Week
JACKSON, Mich. – Junior outside hitter, Libby Evanshine, was voted as the Crossroads League Attacker of the Week on Monday, September 8.
Evanshine led MVNU's No. 15 women's volleyball to a 3-1 win on Saturday, September 6 against No. 22 Taylor University. Evanshine's strong performance helped MVNU improve its winning record to 8-4 overall and get its first conference win.
Evanshine had 20 kills in the match and a .283 kill percentage. Evanshine also had two service aces, scoring the most points of 22.5 for the Lady Cougars. Over the course of the week, Evanshine averaged 3.73 kills per set while hitting .248 against Bethel University, Shawnee State University, and Taylor.
On the season so far, Evanshine has 130 kills, five assists, 11 service aces, and 42 digs. She averages 2.89 kills per set and 3.3 points per set.
