Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Each Claim First at Muskie Meet
NEW CONCORD, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's Track & Field Teams had a great day at the Muskie Meet, hosted by Muskingum University on Saturday, January 31.
Both teams placed first at the event. The men were first out of nine teams, racking up 176 points. The women's team was the best out of the 10 it faced, finishing with 164 points.
Men's Top Performers
Tyler Shipley hit the NAIA A Standard in the Pole Vault with a vault of 4.85m. Shipley placed second in the event.
Evan Hodkinson hit the NAIA B Standard in the 1000m, placing first with a time of 2:29.69.
Samuel Haley placed first in the 400m with a time of 50.85.
Ryan Lehman placed first in the 800m with a time of 1:59.97.
Daron Porter finished first in the one mile with a time of 4:28.33.
The men's 4x400m relay of Seth McCloskey, Porter, William Baker, and Haley placed first with a time of 3:32.09.

Women's Top Performers
Leah Cooper placed first in the 60m with a school record time of 7.91.
Maddy Lengacher placed first in the 400m with a time of 1:00.22.
Tammy Liplin finished first in the 800m with a time of 2:29.82. Liplin also placed first in the one mile with a time of 5:23.56.
Louisa Hallabrin came in first in the 1000m with a time of 3:09.72.
Makenna Langford placed first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.47.
The 4x400m relay of Kate Ruffle, Lengacher, Langford, and Cooper placed first with a time of 4:08.64.
Isabel Henderson placed first in the long jump with a mark of 5.49m.
Shyanne Moser placed first in shot put with a toss of 12.35m.
