Snouffer Named All-American at NAIA Indoor National Championships
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University track & field team competed in the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships on February 27-28.
Lyssi Snouffer highlighted MVNU's indoor nationals trip as she earned All-American status in the high jump. Snouffer placed fifth overall in the event with a mark of 1.71 meters.
The men's 4x800 meter relay of Ryan Lehman, Daron Porter, Mason Hendrickson, and Independence Mayer competed in prelims on Thursday, February 27, and placed 19th overall with a time of 7:49.65.
The women's 4x800 meter relay team of Ellyn Coe, Ashley Yoder, Caitlyn Shipley, and Louisa Hallabrin also competed on Thursday, and finished 19th overall with a time of 9:36.29.
Jaden Haldeman took on the 60-meter hurdles prelims on Friday, February 28, and placed 20th overall with a time of 8.21 seconds.
Bryce Wiles also competed on Friday in the 60-meter dash. Wiles ran well, placing 12th overall out of 31 runners with a time of 6.78 seconds.
MVNU track and field will now look forward to the outdoor season.
