Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Set to Take on NAIA Indoor Nationals

GAINESVILLE, Fla.—  The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's track & field teams will be gearing up to compete in the 2025 Indoor Track and Field National Championships at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida, from February 27 to March 1.

The relay team of Ryan Lehman, Daron Porter, Mason Hendrickson, and Simon Rohwer is set to compete in the 3200-meter relay (4x800m) prelims on February 27 at 3:15 p.m. They qualified with a time of 7:55.02 at the IWU Midwest Classic, placing fourth overall and meeting the NAIA B Standard. The finals are scheduled for February 28 at 6:25 p.m.

The relay squad of Ellyn Coe, Ashley Yoder, Caitlyn Shipley, and Louisa Hallabrin will compete in the 3200-meter relay (4x800m) preliminaries on February 27 at 2:45 p.m. They secured their spot by placing third at the IWU Midwest Classic with a time of 9:36.23, meeting the NAIA B Standard. The finals are slated for February 28 at 6:10 p.m.

Bryce Wiles qualified for Indoor Nationals with an NAIA B Standard time of 6.82 seconds in the 60m dash at the Crossroads League Indoor Track & Field Championships. He will compete in the 60-meter dash prelims on February 28 at 3 p.m., with the finals set for March 1 at 2:10 p.m.

Lyssi Snouffer claimed the conference title in the high jump with an NAIA A Standard mark of 1.71m, securing her spot at the NAIA Indoor Nationals. She will compete in the High Jump Prelim & Final on February 28 at 4 p.m.

Jaden Haldeman secured a spot at indoor nationals in the 60m hurdles after finishing third overall with a time of 8.14 seconds, meeting the NAIA B Standard at the Ashland Invitational. He will compete in the 60m hurdles prelims on February 28 at 12:50 p.m., with the finals scheduled for March 1 at 12:55 p.m.

The award ceremony for the competition will take place on March 1 at 6:30 p.m., concluding the 2024-2025 Indoor Track and Field Season.
