MVNU Tennis Has Six Student-Athletes Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's teams had six student-athletes named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams.
On the men's side Ryan Almovodar (SO/New Philadelphia, Ohio) and Noah Hill (SR/Louisville, Kentucky) each earned a spot on the team after helping lead the Cougars on the court as well as in the classroom.
For the women, four members received All-District Honors. Andi Green (SO/Lancaster, Ohio), Deah Bresson (JR/Wooster, Ohio), Maria Cottenden (SO/Westlake, Ohio), and Alanna Reyes (SO/Westerville, Ohio) each made the academic team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
CoSIDA Academic All-District honors are awarded to student-athletes who perform at an elite level in the classroom and in their chosen sport. Student-athletes who qualify have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and compete in 90 percent of scheduled games or start in 66 percent of games. The student-athletes must also have been at the institution for a full year prior to being nominated.
