MVNU Tennis Falls at Goshen College
GOSHEN, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's tennis teams traveled to Goshen, Indiana for a Crossroads League match at Goshen College on Saturday, April 11.
The women's team took on the (RV) Maple Leafs and fell by a final score of 0-7. The doubles teams of Annie Mahek / Deah Bresson and Alanna Reyes / Maria Cottenden were defeated by scores of 1-6 and 0-6. Bresson challenged her opponent in singles but fell 2-6, and 0-6.
The men battled a Maple Leaf team that is ranked No. 23 in the nation and fell by a final of 0-7. Goshen swept doubles by scores of 6-0 in every match. Nathan Fitzpatrick and Blake Boyer each grabbed a set point but fell 0-6 and 1-6 in their matches.
