Women’s Tennis Opens Spring with Win over Bridgewater College

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's tennis team opened its spring season with a big 4-3 win over Bridgewater College in PTR Tennis Fest in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Sunday, March 1.

MVNU had several strong performances in the win. Deah Bresson and Annie Mahek (6-1), along with the team of Andi Green and Alanna Reyes (7-6), both came away with doubles wins.

Bresson (6-3, 6-0), Mahek (7-6, 6-3), and Maria Cottenden (6-2, 6-4) had strong individual performances, each achieving singles victories in the match.

 

What's Next

MVNU is back in action on Monday, March 2 in Hilton Head, South Carolina against Shawnee State University at 1:00 p.m.
