Four Lady Cougars Receive Crossroads League Honors
JACKSON, Mich. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team had four players receive All-League honors from the Crossroads League on Thursday, November 13.
Senior goalkeeper Hannah Miller earned Honorable Mention honors for her outstanding final season as a Lady Cougar. Miller had a record-breaking year, setting a new school record in the final game of the season with 422 career saves. She also posted a career-high 128 saves this season, averaging seven saves per game and finishing with an impressive .837 save percentage, which was third in the conference overall.
Claire Haas, a talented freshman from Smithville, Ohio, has earned honorable mention for her outstanding defensive efforts this season. From the very start of her Lady Cougar career, Haas has been a steady and reliable presence in the backline, anchoring the defense and making key plays that have been crucial to MVNU's success.
Junior defender Cora Bishop earned Honorable Mention recognition for her strong play and leadership on the Lady Cougars squad. Bishop found the back of the net twice this season and added an assist, totaling five points. She recorded six shots on goal with an impressive .500 shot-on-goal percentage.
Lastly, Meghan Mosher, a senior forward from Columbus, Ohio, earned an honorable mention for her performance in her final season as a Lady Cougar. Known for her offensive prowess, Mosher scored four goals and added one assist this year, including two goals in a standout performance against Huntington. She finished the season with nine points and a shot percentage of .160.
