MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's soccer team (7-3-2, 2-2-0 CL) hosted the University of Saint Francis (6-5-1, 0-4 CL) at CH4 Stadium for a conference match-up on Saturday, October 4.
Saint Francis struck early in the first half, scoring at the 8:23 mark to take a 1–0 lead. MVNU responded in the second half with renewed energy, as Meghan Moser found the back of the net for her second goal of the season, tying the game at 1–1. Then, in the 64th minute, Bekah Blair launched a long-range shot that beat the keeper, giving MVNU a 2–1 lead over the Lady Cougars of Saint Francis, a score that would hold until the final whistle.
Senior goalkeeper Hannah Miller, from Ashland, made a series of incredible saves in the box, finishing the match with eight stops. Her performance brings her season total to 65 saves.

The Lady Cougars will be back on the road, traveling to Spring Arbor University for a 1:00 p.m. kick-off on Saturday, October 11.
