Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth in Battle at Blackthorn

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's golf team competed in the Battle at Blackthorn at the Blackthorn Golf Course on September 22-23.

MVNU placed sixth out of 11 teams in the tournament, finishing with a score of 700 (357, 343) through two rounds. The Lady Cougars shot plus 55 over the two days.

Mary Weisburn had a great day, finishing with a total of 157 (83, 74) and tying for seventh. The 74 that Weisburn shot is the lowest number of her career to this point. Trynity Wolfe finished tied for 23rd with a 168 (86, 82), while Ryan Satterfield was tied for 38th with a score of 180 (88, 92). Jacqueline Gieseler placed 45th with a 200 (105, 95), and Jaya Booth placed 46th with a 201 (100, 101).

 

What's Next

MVNU next competes in the Battle at Stonehenge on September 29-30 at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. at the Stonehenge Golf Course in Winona Lake, Indiana.
