Women’s Golf Ready to Open Season at the Pretty Lake Intercollegiate
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's golf team is ready to open its 2025 fall season on September 8-9 at the Pretty Lake Intercollegiate in Plymouth, Indiana, with tee times set for 8:00 a.m. each day. They'll then return to Indiana for the Battle of Blackthorn on September 22-23.
MVNU returns grad-senior Mary Weisburn, who is ready to provide leadership and poise to a young Lady Cougar roster. Junior, Jaya Booth also returns as well as sophomore, Ryan Satterfield. Trynity Wolfe also joins the Lady Cougar roster as a junior transfer from Tiffin University.
Coach King brought in three new freshmen to join the roster. Laynee Barrett, Jacqueline Gieseler, and Olivia Jones each look to contribute right away and depth to the team.
In the second half of the season, the Lady Cougars will compete at the Battle at Stonehenge in Winona, Indiana, on September 29-30. The team will follow that with the Fall Preview in Columbus, Indiana, on October 13-14, before wrapping up their fall schedule with an invitational in Notre Dame, Indiana, on October 20-21.
