MVNU Bowling Begins Conference Play
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's bowling teams began conference play with two Crossroads League bowling tournaments on December 6-7.
In the first Crossroads League tournament, the women placed sixth overall with a team total of 2278 and an overall total of 4079. Spring Arbor would claim first with a score of 4781. Paige Hicks led the way for MVNU, placing 14th overall with a score of 509. The Lady Cougars showed improvement in the second Crossroads League tournament the next day, placing fifth overall with an overall total of 4568. Spring Arbor would claim first again with a score of 5127. Kenzie Willoughby led MVNU on the second day, placing 15th with a score of 542.
The men placed seventh in the first tournament with a score of 4419, and seventh the next day with a total of 4791. Marian claimed victory on day one, and Spring Arbor on day two. Jacob Burre led MVNU on day one, finishing 18th with a total of 546. Burre had a fantastic showing the next day, securing a top-three finish. Burre placed third overall for MVNU with a total of 694, just two off from second place.

MVNU competes in the Crossroads League Tournament No.3 on January 24 in Jackson, Michigan.
