Maggio Earns Second Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week Honor
JACKSON, Mich. — Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball player Teresa Maggio was named the Crossroads League Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, January 6. This is her second time receiving the honor this season.
In her games against Ohio Christian and Bethel University, Maggio scored a combined 54 points, shooting 19-of-46 (41%) from the field. She connected on 6-of-14 (42%) from three-point range. Additionally, she contributed 14 rebounds, 8 assists, and 7 steals. Overall, Maggio averaged 27 points per game, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3.5 steals in the two wins.
The sophomore from Lafayette, Indiana is leading the Crossroads League in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. Maggio has scored 20 or more points eight times this season.
