Maggio Named Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week

JACKSON, Mich. After a record-setting game for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball team, Teresa Maggio has been named the Crossroads League Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, November 18.

Maggio broke a 24-year-old record, scoring 41 points against Lawrence Tech on Saturday. The record was previously owned by Anne Nussbaum, who scored 40 points against Oakland City on March 11, 2000.

Maggio shot 16-21 from the floor and 8-9 from the free-throw line in the victory. The sophomore guard from Lafayette, Indiana also had five assists. Defensively, Maggio had six steals and two blocked shots.
