Women’s Basketball: Four Players Receive All-League Recognition

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League has announced its postseason award winners and honors on Wednesday morning, March 1. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's team had four players receive honors.

Maggie Coe was a First Team All-Crossroads League recipient. The senior guard averaged 15.7 points per game on the season to go along with 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists. An ankle injury ended her season prematurely, but Coe still had a great senior season and deserved the recognition for her play in 2022-23.

Angela Roshak received Second Team All-Crossroads League recognition for the outstanding freshman season she had. Roshak led Crossroads League freshmen with 12.4 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game. Her 9.4 rebounds per game ranked her second overall in the entire NAIA among all freshmen. Her outstanding play also landed her on the Crossroads League's All-Freshman Team.

Sage Brannon was named an All-Crossroads League Honorable Mention. The senior from Cardington averaged 11.1 points per game on the season and was third in the conference in steals, averaging 1.7 steals per game.

Madelyn Lawson was also named to the Crossroads League All-Freshmen team after ranking third in both points and rebounds among all the conference's freshmen. In league play, Lawson averaged 10.7 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.
