Mayer Named Crossroads League Softball Player of the Week
JACKSON, Mich. — Kiera Mayer was rewarded by the Crossroads League with the Softball Player of the Week honor after a tremendous week at the plate for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Softball team.
Mayer batted .381 on the week and totaled four homeruns and 11 runs batted in for the Lady Cougars. Mayer went off against the Judson Eagles on Saturday, March 2 as she hit three homes and batted in seven RBI.
The accolade from the Crossroads League is the first of the sophomore's career.
MVNU Softball returns to the field tomorrow, March 5 against Judson and Dordt in Kissimmee, Florida at 9:00am and 11:30am.
