Softball Sweeps Player of the Week Honors

JACKSON, Mich.— The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University softball team is coming off a strong week on the field, and as a result it now sees two of its very own recognized by the Crossroads League on Monday, April 3.

Macee Marcum was named as the Crossroads League Softball Player of the Week after batting a blistering .634 through four games. Marcum had nine hits and drove in 12 runs. The senior from Mount Vernon, Ohio also had three homeruns, all coming in the team's big road sweep at No.6 Indiana Wesleyan University.

Sheridan Sullivan garnered Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week status for the second time this season. The sophomore from Thornville, Ohio went 2-0 on the week and also registered a save. Sullivan had 26 total strikeouts and an earned run average of just 0.50.

MVNU softball returns to the field on Tuesday, April 4 at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. The doubleheader starts at 3:00pm.
