Baker Breaks Own School Record, Leads Men’s Cross Country at Conference Meet

MARION, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's cross country team competed in the Crossroad League Championships 8K hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on Friday, November 7. 

MVNU placed sixth overall out of ten conference teams, scoring 148 points. Indiana Wesleyan placed 1st with 53 points. The Cougars ran their second fastest total team time in program history with a time of 2:08:47.50.  

Will Baker led MVNU by placing fourth, breaking his own school record with a time of 24:29.20. Baker was the top freshman in the race and received All-Conference honors. Baker is now set to compete in the 2025 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship on November 21 in Tallahassee, Florida.
