Men’s Cross Country Sets Program Record at Great Lakes Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's cross country team ran in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park on Saturday morning, October 25. 

The men's team placed 18th out of 23 teams in the meet with 418 points. Indiana Wesleyan won the meet. MVNU ran a great race as a team in the 8K, breaking its program record for total team time with a mark of 2:08:24.90. It is the third time this season that the men's team has broken its total team time record.

Will Baker led MVNU with a 12th place finish out of 204 runners and broke his own school record with a time of 24:34.20. Overall, five of MVNU's top seven runners ran a personal best time.
