Men’s Cross Country to Begin Season at Twilight Meet

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's cross-country team is ready to begin its 2025 season. MVNU ended its 2024 season in the Crossroads League Championship Meet and displayed continual growth throughout the season. 

MVNU has a strong returning group who are looking to help build off the progress from last season. Seniors Mason Hendricks, Evan Hodkinson, and Alex Hayden will all provide experience and leadership for a young Cougar team. Hendrickson and Hodkinson also earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for their strong performance on the course and in the classroom. 

Along with the returning talent, Coach Taylor brought in four talented freshmen: William Baker (Mount Gilead, Ohio), Ethan Jackson (Centerburg, Ohio), Levi Moles (Red House, West Virginia), and Ryan Swalley (Mount Gilead, Ohio). 

MVNU will start its season traveling to Marion, Indiana for the Indiana Wesleyan University Twilight Meet. The meet will be on Friday, September 5 and start at 6:40 p.m.
