Men’s Volleyball Unable to Overcome No. 3 Lawrence Tech
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene men's volleyball team (2-11, 1-6 WHAC) returned to Ariel Arena for WHAC conference play on Saturday, March 1, against the No. 3 Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils (8-0, 4-0 WHAC).
Lawrence Tech secured a 3-0 sweep over MVNU, controlling the match with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-19. Despite a competitive opening set, MVNU struggled to keep pace as Lawrence Tech built momentum, controlling the second set and closing out the match with a steady performance in the third.
Noah Wineberg led the team with 7 kills on 15 attempts, posting an impressive .467 hitting percentage while also contributing a block assist. Ethan Cline tallied 6 kills with adding a solo block. Daniel Daly recorded 5 kills and a service ace. Hayvin Larison registered 4 kills on 12 attempts, while Austin Kolaczkowski stood out with 20 assists. Tyler Monnin held down the back line with 6 digs.

Men's volleyball will travel to Palos Heights, Ill., for a non-conference matchup against the Trinity Christian College Trolls at DeVos Gymnasium on Wednesday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m.
