Matsumoto Surpasses 3,000 Career Assists in Win

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (12-5, 8-4) played at St. Mary of the Woods College (13-10, 2-8) on Saturday, March 16.

MVNU won in five sets by scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-17, 24-26 and 15-11. Jaysen Matsumoto surpassed a major career milestone in the win as he hit 3,000 assists in his career. The senior from Kaneohe, Hawaii entered the match just one assist shy of the accomplishment and finished the match with 26.

Men's volleyball will be back home in Ariel Arena against No.15 Indiana Tech on Friday, March 22. The first serve is at 7:00pm.
