Matsumoto Named WHAC Setter of the Week
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — After an impressive week on the court for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team, Jaysen Matsumoto has been named as the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Setter of the Week on Monday, March 13.
This is now the second time this season that the Kaneohe, Hawaii native has taken the honor from the WHAC. The junior racked up 172 total assists and 32 digs for the Cougars through four games.
In the victories over Wittenberg University, Kentucky State University, and Siena Heights University, Matsumoto averaged 10.75 assists per set and two digs.
Matsumoto and MVNU men's volleyball will return to action on Friday, March 17 against Goshen College at 7:00pm.
