MVNU Track & Field Competes in Mount Union Classic
ALLIANCE, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Mount Union Classic, hosted by the University of Mount Union on April 22-23.
Men's Top Running Performers
Ryan Lehman placed second in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:10.58.
Evan Hodkinson claimed first in the 800m with a NAIA B Standard time of 1:51.36.
Daron Porter placed third in the 800m with a time of 1:52.06.
Will Baker placed first in the 5000m with a time of 15:03.00.
Men's Top Field Performers
Griffin Flusch set a school record and placed second in discus with a throw of 48.85m.
Chandler Hartman placed third in shot put with a toss of 15.35m.
Isaac Burns claimed first in high jump with a jump of 2.03m.
Women's Top Running Performers
The women's 4x100m relay of Leah Cooper, Maddy Lengacher, Kate Ruffle, and Isabel Henderson placed fourth and set a school record with a time of 48.38.
Lengacher placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 57.91.
Makenna Langford claimed first in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.32.
Women's Top Field Performers
Ruffle placed third overall in the long jump with a mark of 5.73m.
Henderson placed sixth in long jump with a jump of 5.40m.
Shyanne Moser placed fourth overall in discus with a throw of 38.18m.
What's Next
MVNU will compete in the Crossroads League Championships on April 30-May 1 at Indiana Wesleyan University.
