Shipley Takes Home Crossroads League Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
JACKSON, Mich. — After a standout performance at the Walsh Tune Up, Tyler Shipley of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Outdoor Track & Field Team has been named the Crossroads League Men's Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, April 28.
Shipley placed second overall in the Pole Vault with an NAIA A Standard vault of 4.91m. The mark improved upon Shipley's school record. The mark for Shipley is currently the eighth-best vault in the entire NAIA.
Shipley and MVNU will be competing in the Crossroads League Track & Field Outdoor Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on May 1-2.
