Shipley Earns Back-to-Back Crossroads League Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
JACKSON, Mich. – Tyler Shipley was named Crossroads League Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, February 9, marking the second straight week of earning the honors.
At the Bob Shannon Invitational on Saturday, February 7, Shipley placed first in pole vault, which added to MVNU's team score of 76.50 to finish third out of the 12 teams competing. Shipley's performance set a new school record height of 4.90m. In last week's performance to earn the previous week's Crossroads League honors, Shipley placed second by hitting the NAIA A Standard mark of 4.85m.
MVNU will next compete in the Tiffin Robinson Family Open at the Heminger Center and hosted by Tiffin University on Saturday, February 14.
