Track & Field Competes in Muskie Meet and IWU Midwest Classic

NEW CONCORD, Ohio. —  The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Muskie Mash No. 3, hosted by Muskingum University on Saturday, February 1.

Both teams did exceptionally well, placing second out of ten on both sides of the meet. MVNU also had a small group of athletes compete at the IWU Midwest Classic on Saturday.

 

Men's Top Performers

Ryan Lehman, Daron Porter, Mason Hendrickson, Simon Rohwer (IWU Midwest Classic, 4x800m) – Fourth overall, 7.55.02, NAIA B Standard.

Jaden Haldeman (60m hurdles) – First overall, 8.35 seconds.

Haldeman (400m) – First overall, 51.12 seconds.

Haldeman (200m) – First overall, 22.45 seconds.

Bryce Wiles (60m) – First overall, 6.88 seconds.

Zeke VanArsdalen (Pole Vault) – Second overall, 4.41m.

Seth McCloskey (400m) – Second overall, 51.31 seconds.

McCloskey (200m) – Third overall, 22.90 seconds.

Samuel Haley (400m) – Third overall, 51.54 seconds.

 

Women's Top Performers

Lyssi Snouffer (IWU Midwest Classic, High Jump) – First overall, 1.71m, NAIA A Standard, New School Record.

Ellyn Coe, Ashley Yoder, Caitlyn Shipley, Louisa Hallabrin (IWU Midwest Classic, 4x800m) – Third overall, 9:36.23, NAIA B Standard.

Marissa Rutter (60m hurdles) – First overall, 9.26 seconds.'

Shyanne Moser (Shot Put) – First overall, 12.73m.

Tammy Liplin (Mile) – Second overall, 5:28.31.

Lily Scarberry (60m hurdles) – Third overall, 10.48 seconds.

Maddy Lengacher (400m) First overall, 1:01.74.

Maddie Whaley (200m) – Second overall, 27.65 seconds.

Kate Ruffle (Long Jump) – Second overall, 5.24m.

What's Next

MVNU next competes in the Crossroads League Indoor Championships, hosted by Taylor University on February 14-15 in Upland, Indiana.
