Bello Receives Offensive Player of the Week Honor from Crossroads League
JACKSON, Mich. – Miguel Bello of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team has been recognized as the Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week, marking his first time receiving the award as a Cougar.
Bello, a graduate student from Madrid, Spain, has had an outstanding season on the field. He currently sits atop the Crossroads League leaderboard, tied for the most goals this season with 10, and ranks second overall in points with 24.
On Saturday, October 25, the Cougars faced No. 20 ranked Grace College on the road. Bello played a crucial role in the 4-3 upset Cougars' victory, scoring twice, including the game-winning goal, to help secure another impressive win for the team.
Bello and the Cougars will close out their regular season on the road at Huntington University on Wednesday, October 29, with a kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
