Pierson Earns First Career Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week
JACKSON, Mich. – Brayden Pierson of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team was named the Crossroads League Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, September 30.
Pierson had a phenomenal week in goal for MVNU. The freshman from Lebanon, Ohio had 11 saves in MVNU's 2-0 shutout victory at (RV) Grace College to begin Crossroads League play. Pierson then collected five saves against (RV) Spring Arbor University in the 1-1 draw. For the season, Pierson has a record of 4-0-1 in games he has started.
Pierson and MVNU men's soccer are back in action at CH4 Stadium agaisnt No. 3 Bethel University on Wednesday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m.
