WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team (4-1-4) opened Crossroads League play with a 2-0 win at (RV) Grace College (1-5-2) on Wednesday, September 25.
MVNU scored early in the seventh minute thanks to the foot of Zack Bowser to take a 1-0 lead. With momentum already on its side, MVNU took a 2-0 lead in the 27th minute from another Bowser goal. Aaron Jolly assisted on Bowser's 10th goal of the season. The two Bowser scores were all MVNU needed as it went on to claim the Crossroads League opening match.
