(RV) Men’s Lacrosse Closes Regular Season with 21-1 Triumph at La Roche

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (10-3) wrapped up its regular season on the road at La Roche College (0-10) on Saturday, April 11.

A big first quarter for the Cougars put them in control of the game early. MVNU put up six goals and never looked back. By halftime, MVNU held a 16-0 lead over the hosts. The Cougars scored five goals in the second half and achieved victory with a dominant score of 21-1. With the win, MVNU reached 10 wins in a season for the fourth time in program history.

Ethan Haney had five goals for MVNU and Dylan Haynes added four goals to go with his two assists. Chase Lawler added three goals and two assists. Connor Kistner scored three goals. Elia played a solid all-around game as he finished with two goals, two assists, and four ground balls. Zechariah Gee and Gavin Hall each led MVNU with five ground balls. Gee was four-for-four on faceoffs while Hall was five-for-seven on the day. Vaughan Hawkins had four saves in goal for the Cougars.
