Men’s Lacrosse Overpowered by Trojans

UPLAND, Ind. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (6-1) suffered its first loss of the season at Taylor University (3-4) on Saturday, March 16.

MVNU fell behind right out of the gate and couldn't slow down the Trojans in the first half as it went into halftime facing a 1-7 deficit. Taylor outscored MVNU 4-1 in the third. MVNU did outscore Taylor 2-1 in the final period, but it was too little too late as it fell in the end by a final score of 4-12.

Brett Townsend – 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 groundballs.

Bryce Morningstar – 1 goal, 2 groundballs.

Luke Modesto – 2 groundballs, 4 caused turnovers.

Alex Mar – 8 saves in goal.

Men's lacrosse hosts Benedictine on Saturday, March 23 at CH4 Stadium. Gametime is set for 12:00pm.
