Men’s Lacrosse Defeats Missouri Baptist at CH4

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (6-0) hosted Missouri Baptist University (0-7) at CH4 Stadium on Monday, March 11.

MVNU came out strong, netting the first three goals within the first two minutes of the game to take an early 3-0 lead. However, Missouri Baptist fought back, equalizing the score at three apiece by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, MVNU regained momentum, scoring the first two goals to take a 5-3 lead. Missouri Baptist countered with two goals to level the score at fives heading into the half. During the third quarter, the guests surged ahead, taking a 6-5 lead, only to be met with a determined response from MVNU, who netted three unanswered goals to end the quarter. MVNU went on to win by a final of 9-7.

What's Next:

MVNU will be on the road at Taylor University on Saturday, March 16 in Upland, Indiana. The first faceoff is scheduled for 1:00pm.
