Men’s Lacrosse Moves to 3-0 With Win Over Montreat

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team played at a neutral site location at Henry Clay high school against Montreat University (NC) on Saturday, February 17.

MVNU began the game strong, netting three goals in the first quarter. However, Montreat responded well, matching MVNU's scoring with three goals of it's own in the second quarter while MVNU managed to score just once. By halftime, MVNU held a narrow 4-3 advantage. As the game progressed into the third quarter, both teams remained evenly matched, each adding two goals to their tally. With MVNU leading 6-5 at the end of the third quarter, the game remained tightly contested. In the fourth quarter, the Cougars surged ahead, adding three additional goals. Despite Montreat's efforts, it was unable to close the gap. MVNU would go on to win by a final score of 9-6.

Men's lacrosse will play its first home game of the season against Lourdes University on Monday, February 26 at 4:00pm at CH4 Stadium.
