Cougars Win First Game of Midwest Trip at Saint Mary
LEAVENWORTH, Kan.—The No.8 Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (8-2, 2-1 HAC) defeated the University of Saint Mary (0-6, 0-1 KCAC) on Thursday, March 30 at Charles J. Berkel Memorial Stadium by a final score of 20-2.
After a slow start in the first quarter in which both teams were tied at one apiece, the Cougars responded by outscoring the hosts 19-1 in the final three quarters. MVNU was dominate on defense, causing 19 turnovers.
