Cougars Suffer First Loss of Season at Malone

CANTON, Ohio. — The ninth-ranked Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (7-1, 2-0 HAC) suffered its first loss of the season at NCAA Division-II Malone University (5-2) on Wednesday, March 15 at King Field.

The Cougars had a rough first half against the Pioneers and found themselves down 2-11 at halftime. The Cougars fought back in the second half however, outscoring the host nine to four. The second half comeback came up short in the end as MVNU went on to fall by a final of 11-15.

What's Next

MVNU men's lacrosse will play next at Wheeler Field on Saturday, March 18 at Taylor University at 1:00pm. MVNU defeated Taylor 14-9 at CH4 Stadium this season on February 18.
