Hageman Named NAIA Men’s Lacrosse National Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After earning himself the honor of being named the Heart of America Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Joshua Hageman of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team has been named as the NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, March 7.
After being the first player in program history to win a conference honor as a defender, the senior from Sunbury, Ohio becomes the first player in program history to earn a national award. Hageman was a brick wall in goal in the team's wins over Clarke and No.5 St. Ambrose. Hageman had 25 saves total on the week, with 22 of those saves coming against St. Ambrose in the team's 10-5 upset victory.
Hageman and MVNU men's lacrosse are next in action on Wednesday, February 8 at Malone University at 6:00pm.
