Men’s Lacrosse Sweeps Player of the Week Honors
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Heart of America Conference announced that Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse's Tyler Dickerson and Joshua Hageman were the league's offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively.
In a week that saw the Cougars defeat Clarke University 20-1 and No. 5 St. Ambrose University 10-5, Dickerson scored five goals and had four assists. The sophomore now has 19 goals and eight assists on the season.
In goal, Joshua Hageman made 27 total saves against Clarke and St. Ambrose, with 22 of them coming against the number five ranked team in the nation. The senior from Sunbury, Ohio has been an important piece of the MVNU defense in the program's formative years and has helped the team kick off its season with a 7-0 record.
