Offense Stalls at Lourdes

SYLVANIA, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's lacrosse team (1-3) fell to (RV) Lourdes University (1-0) on Thursday, March 4 by a final score of 12-4.

MVNU only trailed 4-1 at the half, but a big six goal third period by Lourdes proved to be too much for the Cougars to overcome.

Inside the Box Score

Matt Quire was the bright spot on the day for MVNU, finishing the game with three goals on four shots.

Ian Ranck finished the game with two assists.

Brett Townsend scored MVNU's other goal on the evening, and also put up four shots.

Ryan Hensley came through with a career-high 21 saves for MVNU.

Lourdes outshot MVNU by a wide margin, outshooting the Cougars 62-23 on the evening.

MVNU will next play on March 6 at La Roche College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Game time is set for 1:00pm.
