MVNU Golf Competes at Ohio Christian University Fall Invitational

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's golf teams competed in the Ohio Christian University Fall Invitational on September 16-17 in Circleville, Ohio.

The women of MVNU took third place out of five teams at the invitational. As a team, the Lady Cougars shot a total of 689 (364, 325) through 18 holes. Mary Weisburn had an outstanding performance on the green as she came in third overall, shooting a total of 161 in the two-day event.

The men's golf team also had a quality performance, placing fifth overall out of the 13-team invitational, collectively shooting a 611 (300, 311) score. Isaac Gessner placed 13^th with a score of 147, and teammate Caleb Dettmer placed 19^th having shot 151 for the Cougars.

What's Next:

MVNU will be back on the road as it heads to Peru, Indiana to compete in the Rumble at the Rock, hosted by Bethel University on Friday, September 20-21.
