MVNU Bowling Competes in OBC 1
COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's and women's bowling teams competed in the Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament No. 1 on Saturday, October 18 at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace.
On the day, the women placed 11th of 14 teams with a team total of 2128. The men placed 16th of 20 with a total score of 4634. The women's JV team had a strong showing, placing second overall with a total of 2134.
Riley Rine led the women's team and medaled, placing 26th overall with a total of 492 and an average of 164. Olivia Strait placed 41st with a total of 471 (157 avg.) and Brenna McTighe rounded out the MVNU top three on the women's side with a total of 467 (155.7 avg.).
For the men, Christian Phillips placed 25th overall with a total of 599 (199.7 avg.) and Benjamin Brubaker placed 71st with a score of 538 (179.3 avg.). Josiah Casler rounded out the top three for the men with a total tally of 534 (178 avg.).
