Cougars Compete in Crossroads League Bowling Championships
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's bowling team competed in the inaugural Crossroads League Bowling Championships, hosted by Bethel University at Chippewa Bowl in South Bend, Indiana on Saturday, March 5.
MVNU finished the bowling championships in fourth place out of six teams in the tournament. MVNU played Huntington first, falling 4-0. MVNU rolled 158/135/188/187. MVNU then took on Bethel in the elimination bracket. The Cougars were able to defeat the Pilots 4-2, rolling scores of 159/158/149/166/159/159.
The run for MVNU came to a close in the next round as it was defeated by Huntington yet again by a 4-0 score. MVNU rolled 196/181/155/173.
Marian ended up winning the inaugural tournament after defeating Spring Arbor in the final. Huntington placed third and MVNU fourth. Bethel tied with Indiana Wesleyan for last in the tournament.
