Cougars Gain First Win of Conference Play Over Trojans

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's basketball team (5-1, 1-1) defeated Taylor University by a final of 76-65 (4-5, 0-2) on Tuesday, November 21.

   

Inside the Box Score: 

MVNU shot 45.6% from the floor, 40.0% (10-25) from three, and 77.8% at the line. Taylor finished the game at 41.2% shooting, 18.5% (5-27) from three, and 66.7% on free throws.

MVNU forced 15 turnovers, while finishing with 21 assists.

Bailey Conrad – 19 points (7-9 FG, 3-5 3PT, 2-3 FT), 3 rebounds, 2 blocks. 

Trent Koning – 19 points (8-13 FG, 1-1 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 steal. 

Kade Ruegsegger – 16 points (3-10 FG, 8-9 FT), 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals.

Beau Ludwick – 12 points (4-10 FG, 3-6 3PT), 3 rebounds.
