Knox Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America First-Team
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – Jevon Knox of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's basketball team was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America First-Team on Tuesday, May 25.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The three time NAIA All-American averaged 21.2 points per game last season on 50% shooting from the floor and 44.7% from three. For his career, Knox compiled 2163 points (fourth in program history), 530 rebounds, 355 assists, and 88 steals.
Along with being an exceptional athlete on the court, the senior guard from Marysville, Ohio was a standout student in the classroom as well. Knox, who majored in Mechanical Engineering, graduated MVNU with a 3.94 GPA.
